Surprise in Berlin: Manuela Rottmann, Member of the Bundestag, from Hammelburg (district of Bad Kissingen) becomes Parliamentary State Secretary in the designated traffic light government in the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. This makes her one of two deputies to Minister Cem zdemir at the cabinet table. Just a few days ago, when asked whether she was going to be state secretary in one of the green ministries, Rottmann replied: “I don’t think so. Somebody should have called.” Now the call has come, namely from zdemir.
