The position of the richest person in Indonesia has changed again. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, owner of PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) Low Tuck Kwong is ranked first on the list of Indonesia’s richest people.
The coal entrepreneur replaced the position of owner of Djarum Group Boss Budi Hartono. Judging by detikcom from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Saturday (20/1/2024), Low Tuck Kwong’s wealth touched US$ 27.9 billion or around Rp. 435.24 trillion (exchange rate Rp. 15,600).
Globally he is ranked 52nd. The second position is occupied by Djarum boss, Budi Hartono. He is recorded as holding wealth of US$ 23.2 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 361.92 trillion.
On the global list, Budi Hartono occupies the 74th position of the richest person in the world. His brother, Michael Hartono is in third place with wealth of US$ 22 billion or around Rp. 343.20 trillion. He is ranked 82nd in the world.
Meanwhile, Prajogo Pangestu with PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) is in the 4th position of the richest people in Indonesia. Prajogo’s wealth is recorded at US$ 21.8 billion or around Rp. 340 trillion.
In 5th position is the name Anthoni Salim, boss of Indofood. Bloomberg noted that his wealth had reached US$ 10.5 billion or Rp. 163 trillion. Globally it is in position 205
