There is currently little spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The national average number of virus particles in sewage water fluctuates at a low level and was slightly higher in week 10 (March 4-10) compared to the previous week.
The share of participants with a positive corona test result in Infection Radar(external link) is low and comparable to the week before (0.15% in week 9 and 0.12% in week 10)*. The number of hospital admissions of patients with SARS-CoV-2 is also low with an average of 19 admissions daily in the past week (compared to 24 in week 9)**. Last week there were an average of 85 patients with SARS-CoV-2 in hospital; that is less than in the previous week (average 113 patients).
In addition to SARS-CoV-2, other viruses and bacteria also cause respiratory infections.
