Low covid vaccination coverage: Daza accuses lack of campaigns and Mañalich points to little stock | National

The former Minister of Health in the governments of Sebastián Piñera, Jaime Mañalich, indicated that It is not only important to work on a communication campaign, but also to have enough vaccines to cover the target population and with personnel to vaccinate, accusing the government of having deficiencies in these two factors.


Who has also shown her concern about the consequences that low vaccination figures could have, is the director of the Center for Public Policies and Innovation in Health of the Universidad del Desarrollo, and former Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza.

The former health authority stated that no communication campaigns have been seen by the Ministry of Healthand highlighted the importance of working with the municipalities for purposes of better results.

For her part, the deputy of the PPD and former Minister of Health of the second government of Michelle Bachelet, Helia Molina, assessed that there has been a campaign from the government for bivalent vaccination, however she announced that from the Health Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, they will request the ministry to reinforce the vaccination plan before the arrival of winter.

In the daily report on the progress of Covid-19, the Ministry of Health reported 2,742 new cases, reaching 5,424 active cases, while 2 deaths were registered in the last 24 hours due to causes related to the pandemic.
