Karla García, head of the association, commented in an interview with El Sol de San Luis that the initiative was born as a result of the pandemic, mainly out of concern that people would neglect the health of their pets, due to the economic crisis that she lived.

He explained that responsible ownership of animals, adoption, the importance of sterilization, zoonoses are promoted, and the population is educated on how to take care of the health of pets, since many people believe that they should only be given the rabies, so they explain the entire scheme and the importance of each vaccine.

“As an association, we are interested in people taking good care of their pets at an affordable price, and with the small profit we generate we support the expenses of our shelter for rescued puppies,” he said.

There are two fixed points, the San Miguelito garden and the Tequis garden, but they also move to other areas, depending on the requests they receive from the population.

This June on Sunday the 4th they visited the garden of the Fovissste neighborhood, on the 11th San Miguelito, next Sunday the 18th they will be again in the Fovissste garden and on the 25th they will be in Tequis.

The prices that are handled are: the anti-rabies plus anti-fleas at $100; the bordetella, the triple feline and the quintuple at $230; the sextuple and giardia at $240. In addition, deworming is $60, flea control is $50, and claw trimming is $70. Hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“The costs that we handle are really very accessible, below what any private veterinarian charges; the vaccines we handle are of high quality from laboratories such as Pfizer and Zoetis, ”she added.
