The risk of corona infection in an aircraft is limited. This is apparent from a new Dutch study that mainly highlights the excellent ventilation on board. Nevertheless, passengers must remain vigilant. “It is impossible to say that flying is completely safe,” says professor Bert Blocken (KU Leuven/TU Eindhoven), who specializes in ventilation.
