Low Attendance for Covid-19 Vaccination in Bucaramanga: Deadline for Children’s Vaccination against Covid-19

Bucaramanga

Until today at 4:00 pm, the parents of children between 6 months and 2 years old have a deadline to vaccinate them against Covid-19 with the modern pediatric, biological dose authorized by the Ministry of Health and whose biologicals arrived on the past 28 of July.

The worrying thing about the case is that just today 2,000 of the 2,600 that arrived in Bucaramanga expire, which shows low attendance to get vaccinated against the disease.

“What happens is that today people have not wanted to vaccinate children and adults as well. There is not that influx to achieve the vaccines that we have available ”, said Nancy Cañón, secretary of health of the Santander capital.

These vaccines had arrived in Bucaramanga on July 28, which means that from that date until today only 600 children between 6 months and 2 years of age were vaccinated against the disease.

If these vaccines are not applied today, they will have to be lost and reported to the Ministry of Health as doses that were not injected into the child population.
