Loverdos: “PaSoK has jumped in two directions” – 2024-04-10 03:01:13

Andreas Loverdos gave an interview ahead of the European elections. The president of the “Democrates” party, speaking on OPEN and the “Hour of Greece” show, referred to current affairs.

Initially, Mr. Loverdos said: “If you vote for Democrats, you vote for an opposition from which the government cannot escape. Your complaint will be in safe hands. Some people take advantage of patriotism and form parties and enter the Parliament and then emerge illegally, like the Spartans”.

Regarding the developments in PaSoK and the ballot paper for the European elections, he said: “Patriotism has not left the dispositions of PASoK, but it has left politics. I don’t want feuds and especially now with their ballot, I might as well talk. They called me right-wing and other things, but I won’t talk. But it has jumped in two directions, an undefined one and a more left-wing one. There are five other parties on the left that are going to crowd.”

Speaking about Stefanos Kasselakis’ proposal for double ballots, he said: “learns but is not informed”. He was then asked about the wiretapping and the SC’s decision on Nikos Androulakis and commented “It is a positive development. I don’t know how it will end up with the ADAE, but the decision of the SC is positive. In Greece we have many problems but you cannot say that we do not have the rule of law”.

Finally, he made his assessment of the European elections, stressing: “It seems that the second party will be SYRIZA. You go to people who you don’t imagine see Kasselakis differently and they tell you why not? It’s gaining ground.”
