Lovely evening in De Vliert. 2-0! – FC Den Bosch

After the international period, FC Den Bosch was allowed to play at home. The loaded duel with ADO Den Haag was on the program. Birthday boy Törles Knöll was the celebrated man with two goals!

Two changes in the team. Rik Mulders returns to the starting line-up and Mees Bakker manages to secure his starting spot in goal for the first time against the Hague club, ADO Den Haag.

The opening phase of the match started sloppy for both teams. In the first ten minutes FC Den Bosch had trouble getting the ball into the opponent’s half. ADO managed to keep most of the ball possession, but did not make use of it.

After a quarter of an hour, Törles Knöll managed to bring the score to 1-0 in De Vliert. Thanks to a high ball from Rik Mulders in the sixteen of the Hagenezen, Knöll was able to put his chest against the ball.

In the seventeenth minute ADO tried to equalize, but that ended in a fizzle when the flag went up.

After 34 minutes, Knöll managed to win the ball from the halfway line. What looked like a scoring opportunity, but was unfortunately taken away by the central defender of ADO.

With a threatening attack from the right in the 36th minute, the ball came into the sixteen of FC Den Bosch. The team almost seemed to make the equalizer, thanks to a save by Bakker, the Bosschenaren managed to keep the zero. Shortly afterwards, ADO tried again, but that shot went high over.

After a slow start, FC Den Bosch managed to take the lead, meaning both teams went into halftime with the score at 1-0.

In the second half, the Bosschenaren scored after just two minutes, doubling the score. In the 47th minute, birthday boy Knöll treated himself and his team to a second goal. A real striker’s goal, after preparatory work by Burgering.

In the 53rd minute, frustrations began to mount for the team in yellow and green, resulting in a yellow card for midfielder Juho Kilo.

On the home team’s side, a substitution was forced in the 70th minute. Mees Bakker left the field with an injury, Tjemme Bijlsma was ready to make his first minutes in Blue-White.

What looked like a surefire attack in the 71st minute ended without a goal. A fine move by Gravenberch reached Van Leeuwen, but the number 10 couldn’t get the ball in from close range.

What started as an attack for the home team ended in a threat from the away team. With a beautiful sliding tackle, Henderikx was able to keep the ball away from the goal.

Teun van Grunsven had only just entered the field, but managed to hit the crossbar with a hard shot. Unlucky for FC Den Bosch, as the ball did not go between the posts. In the final phase, goalkeeper Bijlsma emerged as a reliable goalkeeper. Just before time, he managed to keep the score at zero with an important save.

With only one minute left on the clock, FC Den Bosch managed to make one more move. Acheffay had the golden opportunity for a third, but it remained 2-0.
