JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – D (38) and S (39)’s wedding plans stalled after the two were burned alive in Penjaringan, North Jakarta on Wednesday (01/04/2023).

According to D’s family, the two will get married in February 2023.

However, unfortunately, S died after being doused in petrol and set on fire by an actor named Muhamad Ridwan (45).

While D suffered 70% burns on his body.

It was later revealed that Muhamad Ridwan was D’s ex-husband.

“Initially he (the victim) intended to get married tomorrow, February. He wanted to marry S, but later the plans for his wedding were already made at S’s parents’ house in Serang,” said SH (43), brother of D to kompas.com, Friday (6/1/2023).

The plan of the wedding to be held in Serang, Banten was carried out as D was worried that her ex-husband would do something bad.

D even made plans to live there with her third child who is still 5 years old.

While the other two children stay in Jakarta with D’s parents.

“I have planned to stay there later in February, the plan is to get married. The plan is to live in Serang, I want to bring my little baby so that I can take care of him there,” said SH.

Victims of domestic violence

According to family accounts, D also frequently experienced domestic violence (KDRT) while being Ridwan’s wife.

Whenever you meet SH, sometimes bruises appear on D’s body.

“The family is full of domestic violence. So all these years D has been afraid, having been threatened because (by her ex-husband),” said SH.

Ridwan often threatens to do something to his first child who is still 16 years old.

This causes D to feel scared and worried all the time.

‘His son was the first to be threatened, he said’yes, if you’re all his types, I won’t do anything’,” said SH imitating the words of the offender.

During the time she was married to Ridwan, the victim never spoke to her about the incident of domestic violence she suffered.

Only after divorcing her ex-husband did D confess to her family that she was often abused.

FYI, D was burned with S on Jalan Jelambar Aladin Bridge, Penjaringan by Ridwan.

Most recently, Ridwan was detained at the Penjaringan Metropolitan Police HQ after being arrested at 08:30 WIB on Friday morning.
