It’s in the first episode of the new podcast Sergio Speaks that the two islanders, Kharl-Cinéus Estinville and Mathieu Dufresne were invited to talk about the breakups.
It was then that Mathieu confided, in English, about his very recent separation.
“As for me … Now that we talk about it, I broke up just a few days ago and, how I feel, of course it’s tough, it’s never easy. Just so you know, that girl is the girl from Love Island, that with which I won. “
Mathieu wanted to make it clear that, despite the fact that he and Amanda met on a reality show, their feelings for each other were real.
“For us it was 100% true, on my side anyway, and I think on his side too. Unfortunately, when you go to these shows, you are in a perfect world. Everything is perfect, you have nothing around you that can bother you, the only thing to do is eat and sleep. “
It’s the return to the real world that would get the better of their love. The young man goes on to say that after their return, the bubble quickly burst.
“The first week was good, I was on a little cloud, we just won the show and everything, and the second week was very tough for me. I figured like “oh my god, I don’t know you, I don’t know you with your friends, I don’t know you with your family and in your real life”, but we made it and it was ok, and then I fell in love even more deeply. “
Despite all this, after a few months, the two realized they were not on the same line. All in all, Mathieu concludes by saying that this relationship has been very beautiful.
