The fourth Matrix movie is gorgeous and complex with many appealing elements. Without redefining the genre.

Watching “The Matrix Resurrections” is almost like having something you do not quite know what it is. Like sitting in a nachspiel you do not remember how you got to and hear someone in tough clothes talking about life and death, that reality does not exist, that we are all pieces of a cynical system that hates us. That you are not who you think you are, and neither is anyone else.
More of the same, in other words, but at the same time an attempt to carry out the liberation process that was begun in the first three films.
