To implement the program and research activities, the museum uses its research facilities, which include the Resource Center, the Conservation Center, and the Scientific Laboratory, the first of its kind in the Arabian Gulf region to analyze artefacts. The museum organizes conferences and workshops, and distributes publications with the aim of promoting dialogue and exchange of knowledge about the museum’s collections, and deeper topics in art history and heritage sciences. to study.

Through the program, the Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi works to create a vibrant academic community and to better understand the cultural properties of its works of art, within the framework of consolidating its position as a major global center for scholarship and research.

Participants in short-term fellowships (lasting three months) receive a financial grant of 85,000 dirhams, and participants in long-term fellowships (lasting nine months) receive a financial grant of 245,000 dirhams .

In 2025, the program will launch institutional grants aimed at strengthening collaborative research projects between Louvre Abu Dhabi and other cultural institutions, including other museums, research centers and universities. The aim of these grants is to support initiatives that further the Museum’s mission of promoting cultural exchange and communication.
