Her real name Marie-Pierra Kakoma, Lous and the Yakuza made her breakthrough in 2020, notably with her first album “Gore” which reflects the path taken by the young singer. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), it was at the age of 15 that the young artist joined Belgium on her own in order to give her musical career every chance.
The Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, co-created by the European Commission, offer a reward of 10,000 euros to their winners, as well as support tools to accelerate the international careers of these emerging European artists.
The other winners of this 2021 edition are Alyona Alyona (Ukraine), Inhaler (Ireland), Julia Bardo (Italy), Melenas (Spain), Rimon (Netherlands), Sassy 009 (Norway) and Vildá (Finland).
