The film was shot in the Lyon region (Rhône and Ain) in Lyon (5e et 6e), La Mulatière, Miribel, Saint-Priest, Saint-Didier-au-Mont-d’Or, Givors and Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost, as well as in Isère at Salaise-sur-Sanne, from December 6, 2021 to January 19, 2022, before ending in Brest.
Written by Louis Garrel, Tanguy Viel, with the collaboration of Naïla Guiguetnes in Lyon, L’Innocent tells the story of Abel who learns that his mother Sylvie, in her sixties, is about to marry a man in prison. He panics. Supported by Clémence, his best friend, he will do everything to try to protect her. But the meeting with Michel, his new father-in-law, could well offer Abel new perspectives…
