Loud and evil|The trademark of Hong Kong Kadona Bakery was stolen in Shenzhen Shenzhen store: Well water does not violate river water, one country, two systems

Located in Yau Ma Tei, “Kardona Bakery”, its French pudding buns have become very popular among Hong Kong people in recent years, and the bakery will also launch different new products to attract diners. The craze not only persists in the local area, but also spread to mainland China. According to local media reports, a bakery in Shenzhen has misused the trademark registration of “Kadona Bakery” and falsely called it the Shenzhen branch.

Gardona Bakery recently (26th) responded to the incident on its Facebook page and issued a serious statement on this. Gardonna Bakery currently only has 3 branches in Hong Kong, located in Yau Ma Tei, Jordan and Ho Man Tin. The store said: “The business and operation of the bakery in Shenzhen has nothing to do with our store. Our store reserves all legal rights to pursue the Shenzhen bakery for infringing our store’s trademark.”

The incident aroused heated discussions in both Hong Kong and the Mainland. Shenzhen Gardona once claimed on the Internet that “the name is just a code name and does not affect my business”, “one is in Hong Kong and the other is in the mainland of Shenzhen”, “well water does not violate river water, one country, two systems !”

Shenzhen Gardona also displayed a series of registration documents, emphasizing that she has been legally registered with the “Trademark Office of the State Intellectual Property Office of China” and is protected by Chinese law. The bakery even threatened, “If Gadona in Hong Kong dares to open a branch in mainland China, it reserves the right to pursue legal action!”

Many netizens criticized Shenzhen Gardona for plagiarism, and expressed their support for Hong Kong Gardona Watch to “prove that your products are good.” Some netizens even “warmly reminded” that Hong Kong Gardona should not try to sue Shenzhen Gardona, because “it will turn around in minutes”, “I am surprised that you have more infringements than human words”.
