LOU Rugby snatches draw against Stade-Français Paris in Top 14 matchup

This Sunday evening, LOU Rugby snatched the two points from the draw on the lawn of the Stade-Français Paris, on the occasion of the 25th day of the Top 14.

Largely trailing 28-00 at the break, the Lyonnais found the necessary resources to come back to score and snatch the draw: 31-31.

Each of the two teams scored four tries: Coville (10′ and 36′), Barré (23′) and Ward (29′) on the Parisian side, Taofifenua (46′), Regard (55′), Saginadze (62′) and Veredamu (75 ‘) side Lyonnais.

This draw does not yet assure LOU Rugby of a qualification for the final stages of the Top 14.

Indeed, the Lyonnais will have to win at home against Bayonne, in two weeks, to validate their ticket in the top 6.

Note that this result does not mathematically bury Rugby Club Toulonnais. But the chances of the RCT are totally slim.

Indeed, Toulon will have to win with the attacking bonus at home against Union Bordeaux-Bègles.

At the same time, Aviron Bayonnais would have to win in Lyon without leaving the defensive bonus point to LOU, or taking the offensive bonus.

In such a situation, Toulon, Lyon and Bayonne would finish at 62 points in the standings.

In this little game, Toulon would be qualified because the RCT would be ahead at the particular goal average.
