Lou-Agathe, Finalist of The Voice Kids, Returns to High School: Her Journey and Success

Lou-Agathe, 16, finalist for The Voice Kids, returned to Charlemagne high school in Thionville on Monday. Stressed, the young Sierckoise artist dreaded the gaze of her comrades after having sung in front of more than three million viewers a week earlier. But the congratulations quickly poured in.

Black pants and top, Lou-Agathe wears the same outfit as that worn during rehearsals, just before the final of The Voice Kids. “It’s to bring me luck,” she smiles. The 16-year-old didn’t win the trophy but she’s still on cloud nine. “I find it difficult to come down,” she confesses. Monday, at the beginning of the afternoon, she returned to the 1st general class at the Charlemagne high school in Thionville. “I’m very stressed,” she repeats.

The gaze of her comrades worries her more than that of the three million viewers who admired her behind their TV eight days earlier. Lou-Agathe struggles to contain his emotion. Her slender figure tries to fade away. However, a few meters from the school, the first caring words begin to fall. An old acquaintance from her college, in Sierck-les-Bains, approaches her to congratulate her on her career in The Voice Kids. The two girls exchange their feelings and a few compliments, like encouragement. Another student then comes out of a group of friends to greet her.

Loose hair, very light make-up, Lou-Agathe is slowly finding her bearings. She exchanges small hand gestures, discreet “hellos”. Her hand touches her granny’s diamond which does not leave her neck. “I also wore it on the evening of the final,” she slips.

Each jewel, each accessory chosen has its story. “I have lots of charms that make me feel better,” she shows, amused. She even kept her backstage access card to The Voice in the shell of her mobile phone.

Since the final, since August 29, Lou-Agathe knows that this new school year is special. The good student intends to remain so. Except that she will now have to deal with the artist she has become, that she wants to stay. The high school student is followed by more than 8,000 subscribers on Instagram. “I made my place by singing covers. Now, I have to make room for my songs, find my audience. She intends not to let go.

Far from the projectors and the waking dream, she walks through the door of her high school and blends into the flow of students, or almost. A supervisor holds out his arms to him, all smiles, in the hallway. “I voted for you, everyone at home voted for you,” he says. The return to reality is already tinged with success.
