Lotus Evija X Achieves Impressive Time at Nürburgring, Ranked Third All-Time

However, the Lotus car company boasted that they managed to achieve an impressive time of 6:24.047 at the Nürburgring, the third best ever. Only the electric racing special VW ID.R (6:05.336) and the racing hybrid Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo (5:19.546) got better.

Although the Lotus Evija X finished in third place in the overall ranking, according to the automaker, it is the fastest machine ever with a serial production machine. The basis of the special Evija X concept is the production electric hypersport Lotus Evija, already presented in 2019.

The road model is equipped with four electric motors with a combined output of 1500 kW (2039 hp) and a torque of 1704 Nm, which makes it one of the most powerful road cars in the world.

However, the special Evija X concept received a complete aerodynamic package, including a new splitter, a large rear wing and a sill extension. The car, which is based on a carbon chassis, should have a better engine, better brakes and definitely better tires so that the driver can use his ability to the maximum.

The result of the work of technicians is not only a good time, but also the goal to further improve it. The automaker set a time in October last year when the track was not in good condition and apparently the car could not drive at full speed in every passage. The car company has yet to release the driving record, but at the same time it is planning to achieve an even better result.
