“I can’t believe it at all,” said Juan Hernandez after the second win and joked: “I’m still trying to spend the first win.”
According to the lottery company, the odds of winning a jackpot are 1 in 3.5 million. You can imagine how astronomically high the chance of winning the jackpot twice is. But against all odds, Juan Hernandez managed to do just that.
Because the lottery millionaire leads a modest life, he has not yet treated himself to any spectacular purchases from his two big wins. “I paid off the mortgage on my house, that’s pretty much it,” he says.
Instead, he donated a lot of money – mainly to truck drivers. Because Juan used to be a trucker himself and knows how difficult it is for his former colleagues. “Especially during the corona pandemic, many truck drivers had hardly any orders or even lost their jobs,” said the lottery winner.
