To commemorate the centenary of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM, the secretary of Service and Attention to the University Community, Fernando Macedo Chagolla; the director of the Faculty, Mary Frances Rodríguez Van Gort; and the manager of the coordination of Advisors of the National Lottery, Manuel Camacho Higareda, unveiled the ticket for the draw that will take place next Friday, November 29, and whose grand prize will be 17 million pesos, in two series.

Fernando Macedo thanked the National Lottery for this ticket, which is a recognition of the academic community of said university entity, which seeks to build, from humanism and critical vision, a better society.

The faculty, he added, is a global benchmark for its work. It serves more than 11 thousand students, it has a wide range of bachelor’s degree programs in school systems; open university and distance education; in addition to various postgraduate and continuing education programs. It has a consolidated academic staff that generates research products of the highest quality and prepares its graduates to promote critical thinking, for the benefit of the population.

“Two million 400 thousand little pieces are already circulating throughout the country announcing that the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters is turning 100 years old,” reported Manuel Camacho.

Likewise, he expressed his desire for a member of the faculty to win the jackpot and commented that the draw has a total distributable purse of 51 million pesos.

In turn, Mary Frances Rodríguez recalled that for the first centenary of the faculty, different academic and cultural activities have been carried out, and to share this celebration with society, the ticket was issued and the corresponding raffle will be held.

“We are very happy to know that there are two million 400 thousand tickets throughout the country, remembering, celebrating the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters,” reiterated the director who also wished good luck to the participants in the raffle.
