(Busan = Yonhap News) Reporter Son Hyung-joo = A store owner who operated a lottery ticket store was handed over to the prosecution on charges of not paying the sales price after buying a large amount of lottery tickets from his store aiming for the winnings.
According to the police on the 20th, the Busan Gijang Police Station sent the lottery store owner A without detention to the prosecution on charges of fraud.
Mr. A, who operated a lottery ticket store in Gijang-gun, Busan until February of this year, is suspected of not paying the lottery ticket sales after purchasing a lottery ticket at his store, aiming for a prize.
Under the current law, each person can buy and sell up to 100,000 won at one store.
It is also a problem for Mr. A to buy lottery tickets in large quantities at the store he runs, but he did not pay the sales price.
The companion lottery team, which manages the lottery, was suspicious that Mr. A had not paid for the lottery ticket, and filed a complaint with the police in March.
It is said that Mr. A’s unpaid sales amount reached 80 million won.
Mr. A exchanged some winning lottery tickets for money at a nearby lottery shop, but the police explained that the winnings were not large.
