The rules for the Receipt Lottery are changing. A system is foreseen that will make consumers’ winnings immediate already at the time of purchases.
Lottery of receipts, the news
The government decree provides for more winnings and more winners. In the receipts deriving from purchases, the barcode will no longer be present but a QR-Code which, recognized by the mobile phone through an App, will allow customers to immediately know if they have won or not.
An increase in extractions is also expected, although the amounts will be lower than those currently forecast.
How the receipt lottery works
For every purchase made with credit cards or debit cards, virtual tickets are issued with which you participate in the draws. A ticket is issued for every ten cents of expenditure.
By purchasing goods and services of at least one euro paid for by electronic means, consumers can participate in the prize draw of thousands of euro. It is important that purchases are made near points of sale that electronically transmit the fees and therefore generate virtual tickets valid for taking part in the first drawing.
