Lotte contributes KRW 1 billion in aid towards forest fire recovery in Gangneung

Lotte announced on the 13th that it would provide emergency support of 1 billion won to help local communities affected by forest fires in Gangneung, Gangwon-do.

The donation will be donated to the Community Chest of Korea and will be fully used for recovery activities in the affected area and support for local residents. Along with this, Lotte Group’s distribution group is also stepping up for the residents of the affected areas. Emergency relief items consisting of 1,000 servings of food, such as bottled water, beverages, cup noodles, and chocolate bars, were delivered through the National Disaster Relief Association.

For prompt support in the event of a disaster, Lotte is building an emergency relief cooperation system, such as securing disaster relief subsidies and providing relief kits, with the National Disaster Relief Association and the Large, Small and Medium Enterprises, Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperation Foundation. Last year, 2 billion won was also provided for restoration of forest fire damage and flood damage in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions.
