Mountaineer and ex-miss Lotta Hintsa had time to dream of a peaceful home for a few years – her own base. In a recent interview with Seura magazine, Hintsa says that he has bought his grandmother’s detached house near Lahti.

Hintsa travels around the world climbing, so the small rental apartment in Helsinki was often empty. Now the house is surrounded by a plot of almost one hectare. Hintsa, who describes her new home as Peppi Longstocking’s Huvikummu, wanted her grandparents’ house to stay in the family and not be sold elsewhere.

Hintsa tells Seura that the original intention was for former fiance and coach Don Bowie to renovate the house to the ex-couple’s liking.

– He always had a lot of intentions, but in practice starting and completing projects was challenging. I learned that I couldn’t leave things up to him.

The couple divorced at the beginning of 2023, and the renovation of the apartment will be seen in the spring Villa and scream in the program.

Long recovery

Hintsa is still recovering from the head injury he received in Nepal in October. He tells Seura that the recovery has been slower than imagined and the move to his own home from the retirement home during the renovation has been delayed.

For example, driving a car is still challenging, because intense fatigue strikes after half an hour.

– Lately, I’ve been able to visit home only when Sebu has a day off and he goes as a driver for me, Hintsa says, referring to her boyfriend, actor Sebastian Rejman.

The couple has been dating since last spring. Hintsa’s hobby has also become familiar to Rejman, as they have had time to go rock climbing in the mountains already in Spain and Gran Canaria.

– The trips have been great, but I always bear a special responsibility for not taking my loved ones to dangerous places or exposing them to risks. I could never forgive myself if something happened to someone close to me because I took them to the mountain, Hintsa sums up in Seura.
