A new trailer for the game was shown during DC FanDome 2021, showing players off with Task Force X, consisting of Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Deadshot.
The trailer gives a clear taste of the story in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In the atmospheric first shots, the very first shot of which is parallel to that of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the villains are recruited by Amanda Waller. As in the reveal trailer, DC villain Brainiac appears to have brainwashed at least part of the Justice League, causing heroes like Superman, The Flash, and Green Lantern to wreak havoc in Metropolis.

So we see the above heroes in full glory in the trailer, just like Wonder Woman and the Batmobile. Whether the legendary Amazon warrior and the Caped Crusader have actually been brainwashed is not entirely clear in the trailer. At the end you also see the Penguin pass by in a short, comical scene.
While the trailer doesn’t show actual gameplay, it’s clear that the footage was rendered in-game. A concrete release date was also not mentioned in the trailer, but Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released next year.
