Lots of bands. Brno has a new summer festival. Pop Messe drew Buty to Lužánky

The popular electronic duo from Vienna HVOB arrived in South Moravia. He is known for musical minimalism and hypnotic vocals. Another novelty was the Swiss singer and producer Aisha Devi, famous for her progressive electro pop, futuristic sounds of the Far East and contemporary industrial tech. A friendly band of American Algiers – 52 Hertz Whale – came from Slovakia, which does not hide its inspiration from guitarists from the 1990s and open melancholy.

This year, the progressive show of popular music also brought to Brno the German electronic duo Modeselektor and the Estonian rapper and conceptual artist Tommy Cash. Pop Messe offered a performance by Italian Elena Colombi, with music on the border of jazz, funk and hip hop, visitors danced by Austrian pianist, producer and composer under the stage name Dorian Concept, the Dutch duo Weval energized the festival’s energy with dark electronics and thanks to the Polish electronic duo Wczasy carried back to the 1980s.

From the domestic music scene, the premiere year was enriched by the legendary band Buty, serious electro-soloist Ventolin, toy independent electronics Dva or stalice of Czech alternatives, the group Zrní. The rap and electronic scene was represented, for example, by a prominent rapper of special themes, Ca $ hanov Bulhar, electronic producer Fvlcrvm, pensive Post-music and techno fairy tale writer Nina Pixel. Thirty performers took turns on the stage on Friday and Saturday.
