“The arrow needs work since the XVIIIe century, recently specified Eric Douence. The arrow presents a poor general condition due to the combination of several factors: constant exposure to all meteorological elements, the poor quality of the facing stones, localized phenomena of wind erosion, water runoff, infiltration, sealing problems and the placement of materials harmful to the good conservation of the whole during the various restaurant campaigns; including bastard mortar and cement. “
101 sites selected throughout France
In a press release, the Heritage Foundation specifies that it “will repay this aid to project leaders as the work progresses, on presentation of invoices”.
In France, 101 sites will benefit from an overall budget of 15.2 million euros.
