A young cyclist experienced a great fright this Sunday morning in Figeac when the brakes on her bike gave out. She then finished her race against the hospital gate, her head stuck. A jack was necessary to relieve her and extract her from the bars before her transport to the Emergency Department.
Here is an unusual accident which, fortunately, had a happy ending this Sunday morning in Figeac shortly after 7 am. A 27-year-old cyclist has lost control of her bike near the Figeac hospital center.
According to the first hypotheses, the brakes of the bike no longer responded despite all the efforts of the cyclist.
The latter has indeed tried everything to stop the frantic race of his bike. In vain.
To her dismay, she crashed into the hospital gate violently to the point of being squarely embedded in it, her head trapped between two bars.
A salutary jack for the young cyclist
Witnesses who witnessed the scene immediately came to the aid of this unfortunate and unlucky cyclist. They managed to pull him out of his very bad and painful posture using a jack. Then, the Figeac firefighters took over.
Alerted by witnesses, they transported the victim of this unusual accident to the Emergency Department of the Figeacois hospital, admittedly nearby, but opposite the cursed gate where the injured cyclist had a very bad time. She was quickly taken care of by a nursing team from the hospital. His days are not in danger.
