On the night of August 21, rescuers were searching for an unregistered group of tourists: two men and three women got lost on the descent from the peak of Achishkho Vostochnaya. Information about this was received by the rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations yesterday at 19.50. The search was conducted all night along the difficult mountainous terrain.
It was possible to find tourists on the morning of August 21: at 05.40 a voice connection was established with them. The descent was to the left of the Bear Gate pass. None of the hikers required medical attention. All five tourists are local residents of the city of Sochi, the press service of the SURPS EMERCOM of Russia reports.
As previously reported by Kuban News, on August 15, rescuers received a message from OD EDDS that a man was in serious condition in the Gelendzhik region, on Mount Ploskaya. Employees arrived in the search area. Leaving the car, they went on foot in search of the victim.
Rescuers rendered first aid to the disabled person of the second group, loaded him onto a stretcher and transported him through the mountainous and wooded area to the road passable for the ambulance, then handed him over to the medical team.
