A call on social networks
The man was the subject of an official alert. Newsweekalso specifies that Krysteena Mann, a young woman posing as the girlfriend of the missing hiker, had published a call on Wednesday on the Facebook page reserved for notices of disappearance in Washington State. She specified the area where Andrew Devers had gone hiking as well as a physical description of his companion.
However, search operations were halted a few days before the man was discovered. “We are obviously delighted that he has been found,” said Sergeant Tim Meyer, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, quoted by the Seattle Times. The weather conditions this week certainly helped. “
