This year’s The Voice participants have impressed the mentors from the first program. Several of them have also not been strangers to the scene before, in addition to ending up on Spotify’s top 50 and trending on YouTube.
The tears flow when Stian starts singing
All the hopefuls who audition share the same musical dream when they enter the stage. And they all have their own story – where some are stronger than others.
One of those we get to see on stage in Friday’s program is Tara Nikolaisen (25).
Here she shares her personal story of how she lost her mother less than a year ago.
Watch Tara’s story in the video window at the top of the case.
Learned about music from mom
Nicolaisen is one of several hopeful talents who will sing for the mentors this Friday.
– It was the most nerve-wracking thing I have ever encountered, the 25-year-old tells TV 2.
– You have to perform at a completely different level. In addition, the mentors are so skilled, and you have no idea if they will turn around or not, she continues.
She can also tell that her taste in music may be a little different. Nicolaisen listens mostly to country and blues.
The love she has for old music was something she shared with her mother, which she suddenly lost less than a year ago.
