He was last seen there between 10pm and 11pm. He did not appear at the agreed meeting point for the trip home and he could no longer be reached by telephone. His son is usually very reliable and punctual.
After the cell phone was located by the State Criminal Police Office, the cell phone was finally found around 12 p.m. about two kilometers from the festival. A large-scale search operation was then started with more than 120 emergency services (police, fire brigade and ambulance). In addition to the many emergency services, the Upper Austrian police helicopter and a personal tracking dog were also deployed.
Finally, the youth was seen by the crew of the police helicopter at around 3:20 p.m. lying in a meadow at the edge of the forest. He was dehydrated and disoriented, but otherwise fine. After the first aid, the 16-year-old was brought to the Rohrbach Clinic by the rescue team.
