CIA director William Burns said that according to the US, Russian losses in Ukraine now amounted to about 15,000 killed and possibly 45,000 wounded, adding that Ukraine also suffered significant losses.
In addition, a high-ranking official, on condition of anonymity, noted that in addition to the killed lieutenants and captains, hundreds of colonels and “many” Russian generals were also killed.
The US also believes that Ukraine has destroyed more than 100 “important” Russian targets, including command posts, ammunition depots and air defense facilities.
