Loss of Crimea: The End of Vladimir Putin’s Regime – Expert Opinion

Russia will lose the occupied Crimea and this will mean the end of Vladimir Putin’s regime. This was stated by Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“All these special operations with which we are now preparing the de-occupation of Crimea clearly show that our partners, Ukraine and Russia, subconsciously understand that the Russian Federation is already losing Crimea,” he said.

According to him, for Putin, Crimea is a sacred symbolic place from which his attempt to restore the USSR began. “And he will end up there. In fact, Putin’s career will end and the decline of Putin’s elite – everything will happen in Crimea,” said Podoliak.

He also noted that the destruction of the Russian fleet by Ukrainian forces would make it possible to take control not only of the territorial waters near the peninsula, but also to push Russia away from the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea was occupied in 2014. Ukrainian forces are currently conducting an operation to liberate it, as well as all other territories occupied by the Russians.
