Loss against GAIS – Landskrona BoIS

Published Saturday March 16, 2024

The penultimate training match, away to GAIS, ended with an odd goal loss. The home team won 1-0, a goal that came in the second half. Somewhat illogical considering the match picture.

It was in the first half that GAIS was the better team. BoIS certainly had some possession but failed to break through the pressure more than once. A good chance was created but Jesper Strid’s pass went just past Ihler and flowed into nothing.

Otherwise, as I said, it was the citizens of Gothenburg who had the most fun in the opening act. They also got into a few half-dangers but Amr Kaddoura in goal had pretty good control.

Goalless at the break after a BoIS performance that was not fully optimal.

In others, there was significantly better speed during the Landskronaskorna. The match picture was more open and the guests, dressed for the day in Skåne red, increasingly had a say.

Kofi Asare came really close to giving BoIS the lead, but the keeper made a fine save and on the ensuing attack the home side would typically take the lead.

After that, BoIS continued to line up hazards but the sharpness was not sufficient on this windy Saturday.

Loss with 1-0 where we take with us large parts of the second half which at times looked very good.

The team now has a training camp in Salou, Spain. Once at home, it’s the second leg against Eskilsminne, it will be played on March 25, before the opener against Sandvikens IF takes place.

Forward BoIS!
