Los Vengadores: Vacunación contra la Covid-19 y la nueva variante EG.5

Marvel ⁤and Pfizer/BioNTech have joined forces to promote Covid-19 vaccination ‍by launching a new comic book titled‍ “Everyday Heroes,” featuring the Avengers. This comes after the WorldHealth Organization (WHO) issued ⁤a warning about a new variant, EG.5.

The Spanish version⁢ of the comic presents a completely ⁤new ⁣story⁣ in which the ‍Avengers fight to save the world from one of their fiercest enemies, Ultron. The comic highlights ⁢the importance of ‌receiving the bivalent vaccine in the face of the ongoing pandemic.

Within the story, a ⁣family waits their turn‍ to get⁣ vaccinated against Covid-19. During their conversation, they discuss how⁢ the⁢ Avengers have improved their abilities and defeated Ultron multiple ⁤times, drawing⁢ a parallel ⁣to the new variant of the ⁢coronavirus.

The comic, written in collaboration with Pfizer/BioNTech,‍ encourages readers to tap into their inner superhero.‍ It ‍suggests that getting⁢ vaccinated against Covid-19 is a way to protect oneself and loved ones.

“The reliable information can also be a superpower, and⁤ many⁢ dream of being heroes and, like the ‌Avengers, protecting the world. This⁢ comic reminds ‌us that ⁢we must take ⁤care of ⁢our⁤ communities, reflect on the importance of protective measures, and know that together we⁢ are stronger,” said Ronald Vargas, the medical ‌director of Pfizer.

In July of⁢ this year, the WHO added ⁢a new variant called‍ EG.5 to the list of variants of interest for the virus, which has ⁢been reported in 51 countries. EG.5 is⁤ a ‍descendant of the recombinant micron XBB.1.9.2 and⁣ has the ability to⁤ evade the immune‌ system. It‌ was ⁣first reported on February 27, 2023.

The bivalent vaccine, which includes ⁣the micron‍ lineages from‌ which EG.5‌ descends, is available throughout Peru. The Ministry of⁤ Health continues to immunize people with the bivalent ‌vaccine against Covid-19.

In response ‌to the report of a new variant of the coronavirus, Marvel and Pfizer have⁤ released the comic “Everyday Heroes” to promote vaccination.
