He Los Fresnos shopping center of Gijón plans to open its doors on May 25, with the foreseeable entry into force of phase 2 of the de-escalation, after performing plays renovation.
The mall has launched a number of disinfection, hygiene and safety protocols, which include measures such as access control and capacity, tracking and marking distances interpersonal security, disinfection and sanitation and the provision of means of protection and hygiene for employees and visitors. In addition, it will launch a communication campaign to publicize the protocols, the company has informed.
During the two months of state of alarm it has been possible to continue with renovation work and complete the change of lifting gear by replacing the pedestrian walkway by escalator that communicate the ground floor with the street floor and this with the first floor. With this phase of the works already completed, the integral renovation of the shopping center continues and the deadlines set for completing the reform are maintained.
The fashion area will be ready before Christmas 2020 and the leisure area it will end in May 2021. The renovation of the shopping center has involved an investment of more than 15 million euros by Redevco Iberian Ventures and will strengthen the fashion offer, incorporate a leisure and restaurant area and recover a cinema in the center of Gijón.
