The Seville Transfusion Center has stressed that currently the blood reserve levels are insufficient and recalls the need to increase donations to meet the different healthcare needs. They also recalled that Sevillian hospitals need blood of all blood groups.
“Blood is a vital medicine that cannot be manufactured,” they have stressed from the CTS. For this reason, they have made an appeal to the residents of the Los Arcos shopping center to come and donate “with the greatest tranquility”, since the health professionals of the Seville Transfusion Center will accompany them throughout the process.
The professionals present will ensure that all measures against the coronavirus are met, a brochure on Covid-19 will be delivered to all donors with the instructions and safety protocol where it is remembered that the use of the mask is mandatory. All the material used in the blood donation process is sterile and for single use. In addition, they recommend to avoid contact that each donor comes with their own pen.
Thus and under the key that donating does not imply a risk to health, a doctor, before donating, will examine each of the people who come to determine if they can make the donation. This process includes a small blood test to rule out possible anemia. The Seville Transfusion Center has also recalled that in order to donate it is necessary to weigh more than 50 kilos, be of legal age, be in good health, not go to fasting and not doing sports that same day. Between donation and donation, a minimum period of two months must be respected; men can donate blood four times a year and women three.
After the donation, which lasts about 15 minutes, food will be provided, as well as recommendations and useful tips for the donor, including a short break after the process.
The Los Arcos shopping center, managed by Cushman and Wakefield, carries out throughout the year through its social responsibility, various campaigns to support various charitable and cultural institutions in the city, among which Cáritas, Banco de Alimentos or the Seville Transfusion Center. Thus, once again, it contributes to the social development of people with actions that favor their quality of life and personal well-being.
Los Arcos, which since 1992 is next to the Sevillians, continues to be the reference center for citizens in the city. It is managed by Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in real estate services that transforms the way people work, buy and live.
