Authorities in Los Angeles (California, USA) have found an inexpensive solution to the homeless crisis: the construction of small towns of mini houses on unusable land far from the center, informs the local press.

The aim of the initiative is to provide transitional housing the homeless, so that the authorities they trust in that within 4-6 months most of the residents of these small towns move to a permanent home. One such settlement, with a total capacity of 150 beds, was inaugurated last week, and consists of 75 cabins of 2.5 meters long by 2.5 wide.

The mini houses have air conditioning, heating, electricity and Wi-Fi. The cost of each is about $ 54,000, according to authorities.

Also, those small towns are away from popular places and they have a common laundry, toilets and showers. In these villages, its inhabitants receive three meals a day, medical help and job training.
