Los Angeles, First Sharecare Verified City in the US

Los Angeles began the process to be the first Sharecare Verified city in the United States (EU), after its hotels meet specific health standards.

Hotels with more than 50 rooms will participate in this verification; The initiative was launched by the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board (Los Angeles Tourism) and promoted by Sharecare.

“By making this health security verification a universal standard in the hotel category, the city of Los Angeles will become the first Sharecare Verified destination in the United States (EU),” reported the Los Angeles Tourism office.

In the health security verification process, Sharecare Health Security Verified, hotels must cover 360 health and hygiene protocols. Cleaning, ventilation, physical distancing and guest experience products and procedures are included.

This way, guests, agencies and travel planners will be safe in Los Angeles hotels. Establishments with this distinction have adequate security procedures, although all hotels in the LA area must comply with public health recommendations, protocols and safety and hygiene programs, which vary according to each brand and product category.

The City of Los Angeles has moved to a less restrictive level that allows the safe reopening of museums, restaurants with enclosed spaces, theme parks and outdoor events.

It includes sporting events with the public and with a strict control of the capacity and high hygiene and safety protocols.

“The city of Los Angeles has been thoughtful about its reopening to tourism. We appreciate the continued partnership with state and local health department officials in developing appropriate protocols to ensure the safe and responsible reopening of the local visitor industry, ”said Adam Burke, President and CEO of Los Angeles Tourism.
