Los Angeles County High Wind Warning – NBC Los Angeles

A wind advisory is in effect for parts of Los Angeles County through 6 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service. While a high wind warning is in effect from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Tuesday.

Northwest winds are expected to reach between 15 and 25 mph with gusts to 55 mph in the Los Angeles County mountains, excluding the Santa Monica Range, and in the cities of Lockwood Valley, Mount Pinos, Acton, Mount Wilson. and Sandberg.

A wind advisory is in effect in the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys from 3:00 p.m. Monday through 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Winds from the north are expected to reach between 25 and 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph in the Santa Clarita Valley. While westerly winds could reach 25-35 mph with gusts to 55 mph in the Antelope Valley.

Gusts of wind can blow away unsecured objects and make driving conditions difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Tree branches may fall and a power outage may occur as a result.

The National Weather Service recommends extreme caution when driving and securing outdoor objects.
