Los Angeles, California, USA – With the intention of bringing more businesses to Durango and boosting trade with the United States, Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal continues his working tour of the city of Los Angeles, California, where he met with members of the Chamber of Commerce, who showed great interest and recognized the potential that the Durango state offers in investments and bilateral cooperation.
“We have come to show what Durango has to offer the world. We want companies to invest in the state and for Durango residents to have the opportunity to invest in the United States,” said the Governor during this meeting with businessmen, to whom he showed the advantages of investing in a safe place like the Land of Cinema.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles, María S. Salinas, said that it was a great visit by the governor of Durango, where she stressed that she hopes to collaborate and align herself with the joint way of working with the entity, as well as promote everything that has to do with Durango.
The head of the Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDECO), Fernando Rosas Palafox, explained that at this meeting the State Governor presented not only the investments, but also how to collaborate in major events that will soon be held in Los Angeles, such as creating strategic alliances between businesses and companies from Durango.
“This meeting was very successful. We were able to show the competitive advantages that Durango has, present the state as a destination for visitors, since the Governor has always mentioned that these trips are not only for them to invest, but for them to learn and for Durango businessmen to be able to go out into the world and for these alliances to be reflected in higher incomes,” said Rosas Palafox.
The director of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Martín Breidsprecher, thanked Esteban Villegas for his visit, where it was incredible to learn about everything the entity has to offer and the opportunities that can be found between Durango and Los Angeles.
For his part, the Director of Social Communication, Víctor Hugo Hernández Fuentes, explained that, during this tour, they continued with the agenda of tourism and film production, where they had a meeting with important directors who are looking for the opportunity of locations and spaces to film movies in Durango. In addition, to end the day, they met with the Durango community in Los Angeles, who gave them a warm welcome and shared great experiences.
This is how Villegas Villarreal and his team have visited companies to publicize the state’s competitive advantages in attracting more investments, as well as the natural spectacles that the land of cinema has to offer so that entertainment platforms choose it to make their productions.
