Feet lifted off the ground, hips swayed and shoulders slumped to the first chords of the cumbia that Los Ángeles Azules performed to a packed Anselmo Valencia Amphitheater (AVA) at Casino del Sol in Tucson, Arizona.
Five thousand people, in the seats, on the grass and in the corridors, danced and sang the great hits of the group from Iztapalapa, State of Mexico, which throughout its 40 years have left their mark on music and have transcended the borders.
With great spirits, the singers and musicians interacted with the public, sharing reasons such as love and joy through cumbia that embraces sonidero rhythms, ballenato and other Caribbean rhythms that make it impossible to keep your body still.
Cumbia from the heart, Ribbon from your hair, 20 roses for you, Another night, Give people cumbia, How am I going to forget you, 17 years old and Feelings, were part of the repertoire of Los Ángeles Azules.
The attendees at the AVA agreed that the show had been to their liking and they would return if Los Ángeles Azules returned to the stage.
Among the public, the Mexican community residing in Arizona and those who made a special trip from Sonora stood out, but the attendance of “güeros” was also appreciated, as Elías Porfirio Mejía Avante, singer and bassist of the group, said, who recognized them for dare to dance
The concert also brought together the Central American community that lives in Tucson and even people from Jordan were present, who did not stop dancing during the two hours that the concert lasted.
