Wealth Advisor Returns to "Family" Firm After Two Decades of Independence
In a move that brings a seasoned professional back home, Canon Price, founder of Beverly Investment Advisors, is rejoining Signature Estate & Investment Advisors (SEIA). Price’s return, her second stint with the Los Angeles-based firm, highlights a desire for sustained growth and client service, backed by a trusted team.
Price first launched her career under the mentorship of SEIA CEO Brian Holmes, honing her skills over seven years. As she explains, "Leaving was kind of like leaving a family, but I knew that in order to grow, I had to try to do this on my own." Her entrepreneurial ambition proved successful, with pricing tripling her income within a year and building a loyal clientele in entertainment, business ownership, and other professional fields.
After successfully managing her own RIA for 22 years, Price recognized the benefits of collaboration.
“I got to the point of feeling like I was at capacity,” she said. “I realized I needed assistance in order to maintain the level of service that I wanted to provide for my clients.”
This desire for collaborative growth, combined with the need for a succession plan, led Price back to SEIA. At 58, securing the future of her clients, both in terms of service and in the event of her own retirement, became paramount.
“I’m just not getting any younger,” she said. “God forbid I’m hit by a bus, I want my clients taken care of. I also want a path for retirement so that I could make sure to transition my clients over when I’m ready to stop working to a firm that I respect and people that I respect.”
Price’s return to SEIA coincides with a significant period of growth for the firm. In 2022, private equity firm Reverence Capital Partners took a stake in SEIA. This investment has fueled SEIA’s expansion, including launching its own broker/dealer, Signature Estate Securities.
This homecoming exemplifies Price’s commitment to both her clients and her own professional journey.
