Lorraine. The State will release 420 million euros to support the restructuring of the Nancy CHRU

In an exclusive interview granted to our colleagues from L’Est Républicain, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran announces that the State will release 420 million euros to initiate the restructuring of the CHRU of Nancy. Preparatory work begins this year. The site will begin in 2022 to be operational by 2028.

The envelope paid by the State must cover 70% of the total cost of the project, “well beyond what was originally planned”, specifies Olivier Véran. The State also undertakes to absorb a third of the debt and to cancel the abolition of 300 posts.

Olivier Véran wished to reassure those who had expressed some reluctance: “It is an essential project and I am proud that we are supporting it”, he assures us. “It does not sum up our commitment to the healthcare system in Lorraine.”
