SLUC Nancy – Gries-Oberhoffen
This Friday 8 p.m. in Gentilly
Jean-Pierre Stouvenel, what do you think of all the measures taken within the framework of the health protocol linked to Covid-19?
We had a meeting with the club and we already learned that we could not put our shop. This will deprive us of an inflow of money because we have no subsidy but I understand that the club is taking strict measures because it could take heavy fines. We will obviously respect everything that must be respected. We suffer like everyone else but we hope for better days.
All the extras related to animation will be abandoned at first. Suddenly, the kop will have to provide a large part of the entertainment on its own …
It was already a bit the case last season because we had withdrawn the fanfare. But it will be difficult to make more noise because with the protocol, we normally do not have to be standing. And then, how are we going to deal with the person who takes care of the bass drum and who cannot play it sitting down? In the same vein, we will not be able to deploy large flags as we do because we cannot go down near the playing area. Movements will also be complicated. However, this is somewhat the essence of the role of supporter. The only way to recreate a good atmosphere will depend on us, the supporters, and the speaker. There will have to be a certain “complicity” between the two.
With all these measures, are you not afraid that the supporters will be reluctant to come to the hall?
Honestly, yes. Even if there is the notion of “tribes” (members of the same group are not required to be separated by a place, Editor’s note), that can chill people. What worries me the most is that basketball is a spectacle where the perks are important. There, we have the feeling of a terrible regression. I know the club has nothing to do with it, but …
