In March, the assizes will examine on appeal the case of Place de la Croix-de-Bourgogne, in Nancy, where Khaled Arbouze was murdered on the morning of April 30, 2016. The 33-year-old man had been shot eight times by two men dressed black of a Citroën Berlingo. They had shot the victim in the back before finishing him off while he was down. In 2021 ten people had presented themselves at the Nancy assizes. At the end of the trial, the two defendants tried for murder and the other three for complicity had been acquitted. Three of them had been convicted of “criminal conspiracy” with sentences ranging from 4 to 7 years in prison. The prosecution had challenged the criminal acquittals.
