Last September, Billy Crawford made his return to France by appearing on TF1’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’. After more than two months of competition, the “Tracking” performer and her dance partner, Fauve Hautot, won the coveted prize during the show’s finale on Nov. 11.
Just ten years ago, it was the singer’s ex-girlfriend who participated in the TF1 dance program. The singer Lorie, in fact, had arrived in fourth place in the final standings of the show together with her partner, Christian Millette. This November 11, seventeen years after her breakup with Billy Crawford, the forty-year-old Frenchwoman spoke about her former partner’s participation in “Dances with the Stars”.

“Everybody Thought I’d Dance With Billy”
Live on her YouTube channel, Lorie was asked by internet users about her future projects, in particular about a fourth book she’s working on, and… about her previous love story. When asked what she thinks of Billy Crawford’s “Dancing With the Stars” journey, the 2000s star honestly replies that she “hasn’t had the time” to follow this season of the issue. The interpreter of “I will be (your best friend)” then shares an anecdote on this topic: “At one point, there was a test in which they [les stars] had to dance with masked people. And everyone thought it was me dancing with Billy. Well, it wasn’t me, no. Finally, she was Billy Crawford’s wife to join the Filipino on set.
However, Lorie could have been in the episode. The singer admits that she was contacted by the show’s production team to share a dance with the one with whom she formed one of the most adored French couples of the 2000s: “But hey, I found it a bit hype, because -that. .. here, what.” It must be said that their breakup in 2005 had caused the singer a lot of grief.

Past stresses
Indeed, Billy Crawford had stated in his biography, published a year after their breakup, that his ex-girlfriend had not impressed him professionally speaking: “Britney [Spears] it was already very fashionable and I was a bit tired of the talentless singers, who all did the same thing.
