Lorie Pester Opens Up About Her Battle with Endometriosis and Hysterectomy Decision

Lorie Pester was the “best friend” of thousands of young people in the 2000s. But like two million people in France (1 in 10 women), the 41-year-old singer has suffered from endometriosis for many years. .

This chronic inflammatory gynecological disease causes intense pain and is the leading cause of infertility in France. To put an end to this suffering, Lorie Pester had to undergo a hysterectomy, a removal of the uterus. “I think it was the most complicated decision to make in my life so far“, she confided.

An even more difficult decision thatit did not guarantee the total cessation of pain and especially the subsequent impossibility of having children. “In the end, I had the operation and today I don’t regret it at all.”

“I live again!”

Since her operation, Lorie no longer suffers at all: “I really live again!”, she assured. “I’m much better, the pain is really gone. Because I couldn’t live with them anymore.”

The singer and actress describes a state of exhaustion caused by permanent pain due to the illness: “Every day, from morning until evening. I couldn’t lift my daughter anymore who was 4-5 months old. I couldn’t stand or sit for too long…”

A decision she made for herself but also after long discussions with his companion : “We made the decision together. We said to ourselves that at home, we already had a girl and a boy and that was already great!”
